Ever feel being the only single person out there surrounded by happy couples, guess what you can be the most luckiest person out there. Being single can have its so-called downsides, but it can also offer some incredible advantages that we often overlook.

Being single allows you to be selfish in the best possible way and is the best time to get to know yourself better. You can focus on yourself, your goals and what really makes you happy. Here are 5 very real benefits of being single:

#1. You’ll have more disposable income

When you’re single, you’re not spending money on your partner, which may have a positive impact on your finances. Being in a relationship is expensive.

Dinners out, mini vacations and gifts all add up to a significant amount of cash. Save this money towards something that betters you in the long run.

#2. You have more free time

You’re not always going to have this much free time, because one day you will be in a relationship, so make sure you enjoy it.

You can also enhance your creativity, join hobby classes or just give treat to yourself for nothing. Do all of the things you’ve always wanted to do whatever makes you happy.

#3. You’ll be fitter

New study found that newlyweds are more likely to gain weight!

It has been found that men and women between the ages of 18 and 64 who had never been married tended to exercise more each week than those who were either married or divorced.

So, whether divorced or never married, singles are much more likely to keep themselves fit.

#4. More time for work

When you’re single, you’re free to put pretty much of your time into your career and become much more successful then you can be having a relationship.

The time when you are single is a time with no distraction and your whole focus is on becoming successful.

#5. You’ll sleep better

With a bed to yourself, you no longer have to deal with someone else’s stuff.

Getting a good night’s sleep is hugely important — and it’s much easier to achieve if you’re sleeping alone. Single people get the most sleep — an average of 7.13 hours a night compared to people in relationships.

It’s nice to have someone to cuddle with at night, but being tied to a long-term relationship isn’t the be-all and end-all for everyone. So, if you are about to get over your relationship, stop crying as it makes no sense and embrace your single-hood and the many benefits that go along with it!
